媒體《Nocutnews》報導說,李英愛向漢陽大學研究生院遞交了2009年下半年博士學位課程的入學申請。據該媒體,漢陽大學相關人士稱“李英愛確實遞交了入學申請，但是否合格要等到6月份才能知道。”
該媒體分析說，2001年李英愛曾在中央大學研究生院取得話劇電影專業碩士學位，此次她報考漢陽大學研究生院，估計是要讀話劇專業的博士課程。
上世紀90年代李英愛以化妝品廣告出道，2003年拍攝了電視劇《大長今》躍居為國際明星。2005年李英愛出演了朴贊鬱執導的電影《親切的金子》，她在片中的經典臺詞“還是管好你自己吧”一度成為流行語。
